Three Injured in Fort Lauderdale Hit and Run Crash

According to authorities, on Friday evening, Oct. 10, around 6 p.m., three people were hurt in a hit-and-run collision in the 1700 block of State Road 7 in unincorporated Fort Lauderdale. Two motor vehicles and a Broward transit bus were involved in the accident.

A man driving a Chevy Suburban SUV fled from the scene after, apparently, rear-ending a Lincoln Town Car, driven by a 31-year-old female. The woman’s husband said that the impact of the SUV caused the vehicle that she was driving to collide with the back of the transit bus. She sustained a knee injury and was taken to a hospital.

Police said that two passengers on the transit bus were also injured in the accident. Their condition is unknown. According to a spokeswoman, the Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
